The period after having a baby is usually filled with joy and happiness, but some new mothers experience postpartum depression and other problems with their mental health and well-being. Strong evidence suggests physical activity during this postpartum period can promote positive mental health and well-being, but it’s not always easy to fit physical activity into the day, especially when caring for a new baby is added to all the other responsibilities of life.
The goal of the POW Study is to learn more about how an online exercise program — designed specifically for postpartum women — can support their physical activity goals, mental health, and well-being.
